Termite inspection & treatment
Start by confirming what the evidence shows. Inspection, treatment and continued monitoring answer different questions and should be described separately in a proposal.
What to document before the visit
- Record where evidence was noticed without disturbing the area.
- Keep earlier inspection or treatment paperwork.
- Tell the inspector about inaccessible spaces and recent construction.
Understand the proposed scope
Ask for the identified pest, areas inspected, findings and limits. If treatment is proposed, request the method, preparation, follow-up and written warranty conditions. An inspection result should not be replaced by an assumption based on a photo or a general description.
Questions worth asking
- What evidence supports the identification?
- What is included in follow-up?
- Which conditions or exclusions apply to the warranty?
