Rodent control & exclusion
A rodent plan should explain both current activity and the conditions that allow it to continue. Removal, monitoring and closing entry points may be separate parts of the work.
What to document before the visit
- Note sightings or sounds by room and time.
- Describe food storage, waste areas or known openings without entering tight spaces.
- Keep children and pets away from suspect waste or control devices.
Understand the proposed scope
Ask what evidence identifies the animal and which areas will be inspected. Clarify whether the estimate includes exclusion repairs, cleanup, monitoring and a return visit. Species and cleanup requirements should be assessed by the provider; a listing title does not establish what a buyer accepts.
Questions worth asking
- Which entry-point repairs are included?
- Who handles cleanup and follow-up?
- What conditions would require a different specialist?
