Lawn pest assessment
A damaged patch of lawn is an observation, not an identification. Before agreeing to treatment, ask how the cause will be distinguished from other growing or maintenance conditions.
What to document before the visit
- Describe the size and location of affected patches.
- Record when the change appeared and recent maintenance.
- Photograph patterns over time from the same position.
Understand the proposed scope
Request an assessment of the suspected cause and the evidence for it. Ask what monitoring or nonchemical steps are appropriate and what would justify treatment. Any application instructions and re-entry requirements should come from the product label and the qualified provider.

- What cause has been identified?
- How will progress be checked?
- What preparation and access restrictions apply?
