Begin with identification and the affected spaces. A useful pest proposal explains the target, treatment boundaries and follow-up.
What to document before the visit
- Record sightings by room and date.
- Describe the property type and who can authorize work.
- Keep earlier inspection and treatment records together.
Understand the proposed scope
Ask the provider to distinguish the identified pest from an unconfirmed suspicion. Compare inspection, preparation, treatment and follow-up separately. Do not assume that a general pest plan covers every insect, rodent or wildlife concern. Get exclusions and any recurring-service agreement in writing before approving a visit.
Questions worth asking
- Which pests and rooms does the plan cover?
- What preparation and re-entry instructions will be provided?
- How is progress assessed, and what follow-up costs extra?
