Water heater repair
A useful repair request identifies the heater and the change in hot-water performance. Diagnosis comes before choosing replacement equipment.
What to document before the visit
- Record the model and fuel type from information already accessible.
- Describe when hot water runs out or temperature changes.
- Note visible leakage from a safe location without opening panels.
Understand the proposed scope
Ask for a diagnosis, repair scope and any reason replacement is proposed. Compare parts, labor, warranty and connection work separately. A replacement alternative should explain removal, installation and commissioning, rather than only the equipment price. Leave fuel, wiring and pressure components to the qualified provider.
