Pipe repair
A visible wet spot does not establish the full extent of a pipe problem. Describe what you can observe without opening walls or entering unsafe spaces, then ask how the source will be located.
What to document before the visit
- Record the room and when moisture appears.
- Keep photos of visible changes taken from a safe location.
- Mention any previous work close to the affected area.
Understand the proposed scope
Ask whether the proposal covers finding the source, accessing the pipe, replacing a section and restoring the opening. Separate plumbing repair from drying or rebuilding water-damaged materials so responsibility is clear.

- What access will be needed?
- Is drying or wall repair included?
- What finding would change a spot repair into a wider replacement?
