- Keep people away from an affected area that may be hazardous.
Understand the proposed scope
Ask the provider directly about availability, the call-out charge and what the initial visit covers. Stabilizing a problem and completing a permanent repair may require different visits and estimates. For immediate danger, contact emergency services rather than using a planning worksheet.
Questions worth asking
- Is someone actually available for my location now?
- What is the charge for the first visit?
- Will temporary work and permanent repair be quoted separately?
