Tree removal

A removal quote needs a clear tree identification and work boundary. Access, nearby structures and what remains after cutting can change the project substantially.

What to document before the visit

• Identify the tree using ground-level photos or a site visit.
• Describe access width and nearby structures.
• Mention visible overhead lines without approaching them.

Understand the proposed scope

Request written confirmation of what will be removed, what wood or debris will remain and how the site will be protected. Stump work may be separate. Do not treat the lowest tree-cutting price as equivalent to a scope including hauling and restoration.

Questions worth asking

• Is hauling included, and what remains on site?
• Is stump work part of this estimate?
• Who handles permissions and utility coordination?
