What to document before the visit

Ask who verifies the proposed location and checks relevant local or property requirements. Itemize materials, posts, gates, removal and site restoration. Clarify utility-location coordination before digging. If the fence has a specific safety purpose, ask the responsible authority about the actual design before ordering materials. Avoid treating a catalog illustration as a site plan.
