What to document before the visit

• Record the rooms and storage problems involved.
• List appliances, counters and fixtures that must fit.
• Gather style preferences and any existing plans.

Understand the proposed scope

Ask who takes final measurements and approves the shop or layout drawings. Separate cabinets, hardware, finishing, installation and removal. Clarify whether the proposal includes counters, connection work and repairs to nearby surfaces. Check delivery and replacement-part arrangements before ordering, especially where the project depends on coordinated trades.

Questions worth asking

• Who signs off on measurements and final drawings?
• Which hardware, finishing and installation items are included?
• How are damaged or missing components handled?
