What to document before the visit

- Record access needs and whether another bathroom remains available.
Understand the proposed scope
Ask the contractor to itemize removal, plumbing or electrical changes, ventilation, water-management details and finishes. Clarify who assesses concealed damage when surfaces are opened. Product choices and accessibility goals should be confirmed during design, not left as assumptions in a generic allowance. Include the testing and completion handover in the written scope.
